The Credit Card Center is one of the faster growing departments in the bank. BELIZE BANK LOCAL VISA CARD
Using your VISA Local Card is fast, easy and convenient. The Belize Bank Local Card is like a loan granted to you, but unlike other consumer loans you will be able to fluctuate within your limit as you meet your installments and continue to make new purchases. You will not have to come into the bank for refinancing. You will be able to make purchases, pay your utility bills or travel countrywide with your card. You will no longer need to carry cash! You will be given a credit limit to use at your discretion and when you receive your statement, you will have the option of paying in full or by installments.
Country Wide Acceptance
Since the card is affiliated with Visa; it can be used at any Visa participating merchant countrywide.
Instant Cash with Your Card
You can obtain cash with your Local VISA card from any bank or ATM in Belize displaying the VISA logo. ( Belize Bank ATM / Branch Locations )
Replacement of Lost or Stolen Cards
If your card is lost or stolen, we will replace it within 3 - 5 business days from the date your report was taken from any of our branches. To report your card lost call:

- (305) 372-3027 / (800) 458-2737 (after banking hours and on holidays)
Making your Payments
Statements will be mailed to you on a monthly basis and you have the option of paying your entire balance within 20 days after the statement date or paying in installments. If the latter option is chosen, a minimum of 5% of the outstanding balance or BZ $25.00, whichever is greater, must be paid before the due date. Payments can be made at any of our 12 branches countrywide.
Interest Charges
If the entire balance is paid by the due date, no interest will be charged. If partial payments are made, an interest charge will be levied per month on the average daily balance. Our interest rate is competitive with those on the local market.
Credit Limits
The minimum credit limit is BZ$500.00 and higher limits can be given in multiples of $500.00.

VISA CLASSIC & MASTERCARD STANDARD
The Visa Classic and MasterCard Standard Credit Cards bring you convenience and value. With these cards, you can buy just about anything, anywhere in the world. You can apply at any of our branches countrywide. The approval is done by the respective branches and the cards are also printed by our Card Service Center in Belize City . You can have a card on hand within a week. These credit cards carry a US dollar line of credit.

Instant Cash with Your Card
You can obtain cash with your VISA card from any automatic teller machines (ATM's) displaying the "VISA" or "Plus" logos. You can obtain cash with your MasterCard card from any automatic teller machines (ATM's) displaying the "MasterCard" or "Cirrus" logos. Cash can also be obtained from any bank displaying the VISA or MasterCard logos.
Replacement of Lost or Stolen Cards
If your card is lost or stolen, we will replace it within 3 - 5 business days from the date your report was taken from any of our branches. If you happen to be in the United States , a card can be replaced within 48 hours if you call either of the following numbers:

Both the Belize Bank VISA card and the MasterCard Card, provide individual life coverage to you, your spouse and dependent children under the age of 23. Coverage is automatic when you charge the entire travel fare(s) to your credit card. This benefit is provided at no extra cost.

The Belize Bank University of Belize Affinity Visa Card has the same attributes as the Visa Classic listed above. However, the UB Visa is only available to the University of Belize staff, alumni and students who qualify.

We have enhanced our Credit Card Operations by introducing the Belize Bank Visa Gold Card. The Visa Gold Card is a more prestigious card and provides cardholders with superior benefits and services such as the ones listed below.

VISA Gold Assistance Center (VAC)
The VISA Gold Card offers an array of Emergency Travel Assistance Services for your convenience and security. The VAC is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A toll free or direct call puts you in direct contact with the VAC. Some of the services include:

In the event that you card is lost or stolen, simply call the VAC toll free at 1-800-847-2911 when in the USA or Canada or collect at (410) 581-9754 when traveling anywhere else in the world. The VAC will immediately cancel the lost card and arrange for a new card to be delivered to you in one or two days, depending on your location.
Free VISA Card Travel Accident Insurance
The Belize Bank VISA Card provides up to US $250,000.00 individual life coverage to you, your spouse and dependent children under the age of 23. Coverage is automatic when you purchase entire travel tickets with your VISA card. It is effective from the beginning of your air, sea or land trip until you arrive at your destination.
Free VISA Auto Rental Insurance
When you rent a car in the US or Canada with your VISA Gold Card, you can obtain Auto Rental Insurance automatically, at no extra cost. You must initiate the transaction and pay the complete cost of the auto rental with your VISA Gold Card and decline the insurance (CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) / LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) ) offered by the auto company.
Cash Advance
You can obtain cash with your VISA card from any bank displaying the VISA logo or from any automatic teller machines (ATM's) displaying the "VISA" or "Plus" logos. The VISA Assistance Center can arrange for emergency cash advances, if requested, when your card is lost or stolen.
