BELIZE BANK BELIEVES THAT EVERY LITTLE BIT COUNTS

Belize Bank's support is never limited to within the borders of Belize but extends where possible to worldwide disaster relief appeals for those affected by major disasters. After the catastrophic tsunami which devastated the shores of Indonesia, Sri Lanka and other countries, Belize Bank was one of the many business institutions which raised much needed funds to assist in bringing relief to the tsunami victims.

As one news paper, Ambergris Today, reported - the San Pedro Lions Club in Ambergris Caye, joined in the worldwide efforts to provide hope for the desperate survivors of the Tsunami calamity. Members of the SP Lions Club and their alliance partners from the Belize Bank, took to the streets of San Pedro to raise funds for the victims. A total of $17,967.61 was raised by the Lions Club and staff members of the Belize Bank. According to Lions Club President, Nita Marin, the money will be sent directly to the Lions Club International Federation (LCIF) for proper distribution to the Tsunami victims of Southeast Asia.
