Job Purpose:
The role of the Senior Premises Technician is primarily to ensure that the maintenance of the various Air Condition Units, Generators, electrical Systems and any other Bank Equipment is completed efficiently and within high standards. Incumbent will also provide support to the Premises supervisor in premises related tasks.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Administer and coordinate the tasks of the Premises Technicians
• Prepare an annual maintenance schedule and ensure that timelines are met
• Ensure that the preparation and procurement of material for maintenance related tasks is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of new installations for air conditioning systems and where practical participate in the installation of same
• Complete necessary reporting related to assigned tasks including usage of materials from
inventory items
• Assist with the completion of preventative maintenance/repairs of air conditioners, generators, electrical systems, vault locks, safety deposit boxes and after hour depository units
• Coordinate and supervise the maintenance and repairs to buildings such as:
– Plumbing
– Carpentry
– Standard and specialty locks
– Painting
– Roofing
– Welding and necessary machine works
– Elevators and similar equipment
– General building repairs
• Respond to emergencies, when necessary, in respect of accident, failure, break in, vandalism or weather as directed by the Supervisor Premises and Building Security
• Assist in coordinating activities for premises related projects including but not limited to Contracts, inspections and reporting
• Provide quality solutions in a timely manner with minimal disruption
• Make recommendations for increased efficiency for regular scheduled maintenance tasks and projects alike
• Maintain confidentiality of information acquired while undertaking duties for the Bank

Requirements:

• Associates Degree or equivalent in related fields from an accredited educational institution
• Minimum of three years’ work experience in related fields: Design, Construction Site Supervision or general works maintenance
• Certified to perform both AC and Electrical works
• Valid driver’s license
• Flexibility in traveling to the various Belize Bank Limited locations across the country

Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements:
• Knowledge of air conditioning, electrical related works and general building maintenance
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; responding to queries by Management and Non-Management Staff
• Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to balance solutions with time, cost, and human resources
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrate willingness to assist internal customers (Staff)
