Mr. Sergio Acosta is the Chief Strategy & Future Design Officer at The Belize Bank Limited, with over 18 years of leadership experience across retail, digital, and business banking. A visionary executive, Mr. Acosta is recognized for shaping strategic direction, driving digital transformation, and fostering customer-centric innovation.

In this role, he oversees the bank’s enterprise strategy, marketing, business intelligence, and the Project Management Office, ensuring alignment between long-term vision and execution. He is responsible for future design initiatives that strengthen competitiveness, enhance customer engagement, and drive sustainable business growth in an evolving financial landscape.

Throughout his career at The Belize Bank Limited, Mr. Acosta has held senior leadership positions where he  delivered transformational change, accelerated digital adoption, and consistently exceeded growth targets. 

He holds an MBA in Banking from the University of London (SOAS) and a Bachelor of Science in International Financial Markets from Anglia Ruskin University, UK.
