How can I obtain merchant and e-commerce services with Belize Bank?

Obtaining both the merchant and e-commerce services from us is easy. Just follow these steps:

Visit the nearest Belize Bank branch to open your business account, or schedule an appointment with one of our Merchant Development Associates.

Based on your annual turnover, our representatives will recommend the most appropriate merchant service(s) for your business.

Once qualified for our merchant services, sign our merchant agreement.

A merchant account will be opened for you.

Your POS terminal will be ready within 10 business days.

Our Merchant Officer will visit your business to install the POS terminal and provide the necessary training to your staff.

If you do not currently have a business account, kindly note the following requirements to apply for a business overdraft:

Certificate of registration

Audited and/or In-house financials

Collateral to secure the facility

Valid ID (Social Security or Passport) for the account holders.

Proof of occupancy in the form of either a utility bill in your name (within the past 3 months) for the account holder, or by filling out this Proof of Occupancy Form.

Belize Bank business account holders are required to present the first 3 documents listed above.
