Ms. Hertha Gentle is an accomplished Human Resource Executive with over two decades of experience spanning the public, private, and academic sectors. She currently serves as Chief People Officer at The Belize Bank Limited, where she leads People and Culture strategy for more than 475 employees across the group. 

Ms. Gentle has held senior leadership roles at the Port of Belize, the University of Belize, and the Ministry of Labour, where she built HR systems, managed industrial relations, and advised on national labour legislation. With expertise in succession planning, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and labour law, she is recognized as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and a respected facilitator in HR, labour relations, and organizational development. 

She holds a Master’s in Labour Economics and Human Resource Management from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University College of Belize.
