Belize Bank urges all customers to exercise heightened vigilance regarding an ongoing phone scam.

Fraudulent callers impersonating Belize Bank representatives have been reaching out to customers via audio calls. These scammers often use suspicious email accounts or numbers while displaying official logos to appear legitimate. During these calls, scammers attempt to trick customers into providing online banking password resets, account credentials, and other sensitive personal information.

To ensure your funds and personal information remain secure, please keep our security golden rules in mind:

  • Keep Credentials Private: Belize Bank will never call or message you to ask for your card details, PINs, usernames, or passwords.

  • Avoid Suspicious Links: Never click on links sent from unverified sources. If you need assistance, contact the bank securely through BBL Assist in our Online Message Center.

  • Enhance Account Protection: Use your trusted personal device to register for Soft Token authentication to add an extra layer of protection to your account.

  • Verify Official Channels: Only follow and trust updates from our official social media pages at @belizebankltd.

If you receive a suspicious call or believe your account details may have been compromised, disconnect immediately and reach out to Belize Bank through our official customer support channels.
