SMS Banking

Belize Bank Mobile Banking is Belize Bank’s text/SMS-based banking service that allows you to access your Belize Bank account information and even initiate transactions via a text message. If you can send and receive a text message on your phone and have a Belize Bank account, then you can use this easy and convenient service.

With Belize Bank Mobile Banking you can receive account notifications (alerts) for:

  • Deposit above a particular threshold
  • Debit transaction above a particular threshold
  • ATM transaction above a particular threshold
  • Debit card purchase above a particular threshold
  • Posting of a cheque(s)
  • Available balance goes below a particular threshold
  • Available balance goes above a particular threshold
  • Account is in overdraft
  • Online transfer between designated accounts
  • Online transfer to another account
  • Credit card transaction above a particular threshold
  • Credit card balance is below a particular threshold
  • Credit card payment is due
  • Loan payment is due

In addition, you can:

  • Check your Account Balance (Mini Statement included)
  • Transfer money between accounts  (Transfers are allowed between your registered accounts only.)
  • Pay Utility Bills
Short Codes 

Use these codes to initiate transactions using Belize Bank SMS Banking. Simply place the short code in a text message and send to BBLM (2256)

  • BAL – Text BAL (Account Alias) to receive your account balance and mini-statement with your last two transactions. Example: BAL Savings
  • TRANS – Text TRANS (From Account Alias) (To Account Alias) (Amount) to make transfers between accounts. Example: TRANS Car Loan 500.50
  • BILL – Text BILL (From Account Alias) (To Account Alias) (Amount) to pay bills, including your Belize Bank credit cards. Example: BILL savigs1 BTL 350.25
  • HELP – Text HELP to get a complete list of available short codes. Example: HELP
  • HELP – Text HELP (Short code) to receive instructions on how to use the short code requested. Example: HELP BAL will provide instructions on using the BAL short code.
    *Short codes are not case sensitive.

 If you already bank with us and have an Online Banking Account,

follow instructions below to sign up for SMS Banking

 

1) Click Button below

2) Click on Profile Settings

    1. Enter your password. (You will be asked to enter your password for security reasons)
    2. Select the “Activate “Belize Bank Mobile Banking checkbox (check the box)
    3. Read and Accept the presented Terms and Conditions to continue
    4. Next, enter the required information to set up your profile
    5. Click the “Update My Profile” button, after filling in the required information

To setup alerts on the selected account

  • To setup alerts on the selected account, go to Account Alerts on the “Belize Bank Mobile Banking” menu.
    1. Click on “Set Alerts” or “Edit Alerts”, link beside each listed account
    2. Select and setup available account alerts
    3. Click “Update My Account” button to save the new information

    Lastly, to setup an account alias for the selected account, go to Account Aliases on the “Belize Bank Mobile Banking” menu.

    1. Click on “Set Alias” or “Edit Alias”, link beside each listed account
    2. Enter a name in the Alias field
    3. Click “Update My Account” button to save the new information

    You are now ready to start using the Belize Bank’s SMS Banking service!
